New for 2009 Parker Crossbows offers value and performance in the New “Spartan” Crossbow.
As many hunters get introduced to the joy of hunting with a crossbow, a lot of new enthusiasts want enough crossbow to get the job done with out having to skip a meal or two to pay for it. The designers at Parker Crossbows have introduced the New for 2009 Spartan crossbow. It isn’t Spartan in its features or performance in any way; rather it’s ready for battle in the woods like the “Spartans” of historic lore.

The Spartan is built on Parker’s popular and ergonomic Buck Buster frame. The Spartan shares the thumb-hole design of its big brother, with the Thumb-saver forearm under the barrel. The 150 pound limbs are anchored by a 100% machined aluminum riser and limb pockets, with Parker’s 100% Metal trigger featuring an anti-dry fire mechanism with auto engage safety.
The Spartan’s limbs are decorated with Advantage Max -4™ camouflage, complimented by the stocks earth tone base color. Complete with a three arrow quick detach quiver, the Spartan is available with a single dot sport dot optic or a 3 x32 multi reticle scope.
The Spartan is the lightest crossbow in Parker’s arsenal weighing in at a mere 6.2 pounds, and very likely the lightest in its class. Considering it shoots a 425 grain arrow 285 feet per second, it has all the muscle hunters need to fill their deer tag every fall. With a lifetime warranty all for under $400.00, the Spartan may also be the best backed and best valued crossbow too.
Tom Woodworth (VP of Operations, Parker Bows) said, “The Spartan is one of the most exciting crossbows we’ve introduced, as it will allow the average consumer an opportunity to experience crossbow hunting and Parker products for a very modest price of only $399.95 and still have many of the great features that Parker customers enjoy at higher price points”.
The Parker Spartan Crossbow has an MAP of $449.95 with a Multi-Reticle scope
