For just about 16 years I have been “confined “to a wheel chair following an ATV accident. Being an avid hunter and outdoorsman prior to my accident it has been very difficult for me to “settle” for the very limited access to the outdoors that I loved and still love so much. Tim Swenson from Action manufacturing is now selling an item that redefines more than just confinement it redefines life for me.
The Action Track Chair by action manufacturing in Marshall Minnesota has come a long way in removing common obstacles from the person wanting heck needing to be outdoors. Though not capable of going anywhere, it definitely makes most places and terrains accessible to the ambulatorily impaired individual. From the elderly person that simply has trouble getting around the yard or garden. To the paralyzed folks that want to go to that place they used to go. Hunting spots, fishing holes, hiking trails, beaches, swamps and just plain adventurous people have gained significant access once again!
I can’t tell you how many times I have had a buddy or family member “drag me” as close as they could to a spot that I would like to hunt or fish. And bless them they have done their very best to get me there. I still find myself sitting there all day looking at “the spot I really want to be”. Now I simply point the joystick and go! Make no mistake this chair does not take the place of a hunting partner, but it does make their job much easier and makes the hunt more enjoyable to everyone!
Capable of traversing soft and or muddy terrain, going actually “off road” climbing responsible hills, and even pulling a small trailer of hunting equipment is now possible. The chair has an electric actuator that makes it possible to “tilt” the seat forward for climbing steep hills more safely and it also allows for tilting the seat back for descending the hill again on the way home. This should not be attempted without a partner however; for safety reasons alone. Just because the chair will do something doesn’t mean it is smart to do it alone. It does however open up a huge amount of real-estate that can be covered alone so there is a giant “opening up” of the outdoors that can be accessed alone as well. The chair does not remove disabilities; it reduces the impact of disabilities as they pertain to outdoor access.

I personally pretty much “live” outdoors and the Action Track Chair has become as important to me as my cell phone did when I got one of those! It is frankly to the point that I cannot even imagine my life without one anymore. I fully expect my hunting and just the outdoors to become even more important to me. Need to simply remember it is not anything more than a tool, one that takes some learning to be proficient with. The more you drive one the better at it you get and the safer you stay. No chair in the world replaces common sense or real legs. But the Action Track Chair by Action Manufacturing does promise and deliver more access to the great out doors no matter what your interest and focus is.
If you or anyone you know have some issues that keep them in the house on just on hard surfaces because of heart, lungs, or just limb impairment. The Action Track chair very well could be a life changer for them as well.
